Participation & Privacy
Know what you’re sharing.
Participation is your choice. Here is what is verified, and what still needs to be confirmed.
Your choice to take part.
Taking part is voluntary. You can choose not to participate or leave before submitting. This is independent research, not an employment, platform-access, or government-benefits process.
Eligibility: Age 18 or older and currently delivering food through apps in Seattle.
The survey estimates 1–2 minutes. The estimate comes from the form and has not been independently timed.
What the form asks.
The survey asks about delivery work, earnings including tips before work expenses, platforms, and perceived changes over time. It also includes optional demographics, comments, and a screenshot upload.
The form does not ask for your name, email address, customer details, or account credentials. Please do not add identifying information in comments or uploads.
The form describes itself as anonymous, but free-text answers or an unredacted screenshot could identify someone. This website does not promise complete anonymity.
Optional screenshots.
Uploading a screenshot is optional. Cover or crop out your name, email, account IDs, customer information, addresses, order numbers, banking details, and anything else personal. Only earnings and time numbers are needed.
Who can access responses, and for how long?
- Response and upload access
- Only the project’s sole researcher has access to responses and optional screenshot uploads through the project’s survey account.
- Retention and deletion
- Raw survey responses and optional screenshot uploads will be kept for the research and related advocacy, then deleted when that work is complete. No fixed end date has been set.
How public findings will be shared.
The intended public output is an aggregate summary of responses. Identifiable worker records and screenshots will not be published. Any quotation would require appropriate permission and removal of identifying details.
Responses will support independent economics research and a public summary intended to inform worker-centered discussion. They will not be used to declare the law a success or failure before the evidence is examined.
The survey provider.
The survey opens on Tally, a separate service. Tally hosts and processes the form and may process technical information under its own privacy notice. This website does not embed the survey or receive its answers.
